Came with a question. I have a new flock of chickens (5 at 15 weeks old) that free-range most days. This past week the flock of wild peacock have started getting closer. Should I be worried about my girls? Will the peacocks- if they come in the yard bother the chickens?
We had previous neighbors with peacocks and they were free ranged. Well some of these neighbors left and didn't take the birds. It started as a group of 4 but I saw them come out of the woods last summer and there were at least 10 of them, even 2 white females in the batch. They have stayed mostly hidden although we hear them from time to time. It was the first time I saw the birds in several months and started wondering if they would bother their new bird neighbors, our chickens.
