Hi,
My town has several flocks of wild turkeys and today a young (little) one visited my chickens while we were hanging in the front yard. I saw another lone one a couple months ago. These are not poults, lost from mama. Neither was crying, but do look lonely. We aren't allowed to hunt them, so they aren't afraid. Does anyone know if theses juveniles are kicked out and expected to make new flocks? Maybe they are juvenile males? Or where I could find out more about wild turkeys? Google wasn't terriblely helpful. Thanks!
PS my juvenile male cat chased the turkey away but he has never chased my hens.
