Will a chicken cross a swamp?

Anyone know if chickens would/will cross a swamp area? i have one that circles 3/4 of my property and they girls and boys love to go near the edge. Should i worry that they might cross it and they go to parts unknown?
 
How far would the they have to fly to cross it? Can they fly that far? My games will fly close to 600 feet to get over very high and thick grass but same distance over water I do not know unless they had practice with shorter flights.
 
Some spots they definitely could fly over it. It's only like a foot wide others is like 10ft.
