Will a grown rooster play nice with chicks?

I've got 2 chicks and getting another 6 in a few days. Supposedly there is a roo in the chicks coming and today have had someone offer me a fully grown rooster which I'd love to give a home but not sure if I'm setting myself up for failure.

So my question are:

A) will a rooster be nice to the baby chicks?

B) will said rooster conflict with the baby Roo now or eventually?

very new to this so kinda learning as I go here but don't want to put any of the chicks in harms way from my naivety (I'd love if everything just gets along) 🤣

I would not acquire a mature rooster. Having one grow up there from chickhood should be fine.

Once you have an established flock, any mature roo will assume that any chick hatched will be his, and it will all go along swimmingly in my experience. But a fully grown roo parachuted in with chicks is probably asking for heartache.

yeah, going off of what @Perris said, it's not a great idea.
Introducing a bunch of new chicks to a mature rooster is going to result in tragedy. He's not going to recognize the chicks as friendly entities.
