Will a rooster make hens go into coop at night?

I have 2 Rhode Island Reds and a Cochin that survived a massacre of my other 9 hens about 4 months ago. I've added 2 Polish, 2 Silkies, and 2 Wyandottes to the three a couple of months ago. All of my new ones are laying. My problem is none of the new ones roost in my coop or lay eggs in the nesting boxes inside the coop. They sleep and lay their eggs in the run. The 2 RI reds still peck at the new ones especially when I give treats. My question is, will a rooster alleviate this problem? Will he get the whole flock to go inside the coop? I've had roosters before so am not opposed to getting one. When cold weather comes they need to be inside. Thanks!

Also, you just never know in advance how an individual rooster will turn out. He may be great in some roles and abysmal in others.

Can you separate the RIRs from the others at laying time?

How big are your run and coop?

Do they also have access outside of the run? (a fenced area of the backyard, etc.)
