Oh dang... So what now? They gonna tax folks everytime they fart? No, it aint the semi's, jets, and huge factories everywhere that folks are worried about... Its fartin cows! Give me a break. In my honest opinion, we need to scrap the whole d@mn lot of folks in the gov. and start over, not a one of 'em has half the sense God gave a goose.

If you read the documents, though, it's clear that no one is actually proposing such a tax. The EPA is pouting because they lost a case in the US Supreme Court where they were trying to block California from adding additional air quality/efficiency (and greenhouse gas) standards to California's already more stringent rules, as allowed by the Clean Air Act. The EPA was ranting that because they lost this case, golly gosh they'd be forced to create all kinds of ridiculous rules, and asked other agencies and the public to write letters saying "these are stupid rules." The letters were written. Case closed.

The EPA is not seriously proposing this rule. No legislator is proposing this rule. It's just a bureaucratic temper tantrum.
