Will cockerels sing an egg song?

This is my 10-11 week old EE named Penguin. I have been thinking for a few weeks that Penguin was a cockerel (behavior, bigger comb, red splashes all over, and looks like they might be getting saddle feathers).
Today I was startled by a loud egg song….very distinct….very “egg song”! So I went running out and it was Penguin (hiding under a bush and making this sound).

I worried that there was a predator so I put them all back inside….but is there any way I’m wrong and this is a pullet? If not, do roosters make that very distinct call?

Cockerels will sing the egg song along with a pullet or hen. The sound is also very similar to a warning call.

As for whether your EE is a cockerel at all.. if the one pictured is only 10- 11 weeks old, I'm leaning heavily towards cockerel.

I am also leaning towards cockerel. Honestly I would love it if this chicken does warnings calls. The last cockerel we had just constantly attacked the dogs.
