We had a fecal sample checked and it came back clear for cocci and worms. The pullet had been on 2 days of corid. Today is day 5 on corid - she looked good on day 3 but relapsed on day 4. Not looking great today.
As I cleaned the coop tonight, some of the poops look like they have worms in them. They look kinda like the dried meal worms. I'm thinking maybe tapeworms? But if worms, why did the vet not see them, especially if I am now seeing them without a telescope?
I will try to post a picture tomorrow morning. I don't want to worm if they don't have worms. First timer - I've only had the pullets for four weeks. Breeder hasn't had any problems with the ones he kept. I will check to see if he has done a routine worming on his.
Is it reasonable to see worms in a new coop/no free ranging?
Thanks!
Erica
