So sorry for your loss. I have a lot of crows around. They can't get to my chicks but if they could they would probably take them. Many years ago before I covered my pens if a bird layed an egg on the ground in their pen the crows would go into the pens and get the eggs on the ground. The other day I saw a crow chasing off a Cooper’s Hawks which is about the same size as the crow. Other than that I have had more issues with hawks, Bald Eagles and owls. I haven't had any issues with the eagles for quite awhile. Good luck...
