I am currently incubating 9 chicks and I want them to be safe from parasites
we previously hatched 9 chicks and 7/9 turned out to be cockerels :( We STUPIDLY put the cockerels up for sale and gave them all to this man- something I have now come to regret. In return for the cockerels, he gave us 3 young chickens of different breeds. it wasn't me personally who picked them up and no one checked them for lice or to see if they're healthy. we kept them separate from our two hens but it became apparent they were infested with parasites and all had blocked noses. The two smallest ones died pretty quickly even though we tried to use DE to treat. the 3rd one survived and seems to be healthy and enjoying life with our other two legbar-mixes but I do treat them for red mite and fleas now and then as I think we still might have a small problem
my question is- will DE, red spot and medicated feed be enough to prevent our pullets getting sick when we introduce them to the flock.
I am relatively new to this so would greatly appreciate the help!!

Well, medicated feed contains amprolium or other coccidiostat and is just for treating coccidia. I don't know what Red Spot is. Wormer is best if you know what species of worms you are treating. DE may be a fair preventive in the coop but isn't sufficient for treating a true outbreak of lice or mites. That will require something like Safeguard or 5% Sevin dust.

Thank you so much!
I think we used the feed after we got it from the vets- so thats hopefully sorted that out
I meant red stop- in the UK for mite protection. I will look at those other treatments thank you so much for your help
