will fertile eggs from fridge hatch?

Wow, I have NEVER heard of refrigerated eggs being "hatchable". I am confused...I was told to keep eggs that I was collecting and wanting to hatch on the counter in the house (which is 76*F), or in the garage (which is very warm). So which is better fridge, counter or garage ? And why ? And how ? And THANKS !!

i have gotten eggs up every day, put them in a egg carton & put it in a paper bag, kinda wrap the bag up after the carton is in it, place it in the drawer in the fridge & keep them turned, that drawer is the warmest part of the fridge, have hatched egg after egg this way it works as long as the egg is firtell, go ahead try it, what have you got to loose every body has some spare eggs every now & then i have only used hens to hatch with dont know about a bator should work the same, this was what one of the old timers told me to do & i thought the same thing you did {no way} didnt have anything to loose so i tried it & it worked, eggs will last longer this way also, let me know how yall come out, oh yea some one said on the forem the other day that the best temp. to keep your eggs at was 70 to 50.

I had an egg in the refrigerator I hatched alongside of a number of others. I marked it and it hatched a day later than the others. It also held a rather weak chick. It is still alive and a fairly healthy bird now 3 months later but he is clearly smaller and has had stunted growth as compared to his brother who was not placed in the fridge.
