Will guineas affect deer hunting?

We are considering adding guineas to our homestead but have concern over whether or not they will affect the population of deer in the area. We don’t want to do anything that would push the deer too far off of our property for hunting reasons. We have about 16 acres. I have heard some say that a comfortable population of guineas might actually encourage the deer to come around because they can tell that everything is safe. Anyone have experience with this?

There are other factors that will have a greater effect on deer than guineas will have.

I saw no difference in my deer population from prior to and having guineas.

The biggest effect was the death of the lead doe that used this as her home base. That did decrease the number of deer hanging around here.

Good to know. We desperately want the tick control and snake deterrent, being new to living in the south! We have chickens that free range all day but consistently lay their eggs in a milk crate under the carport 😂 so we don’t need to rely on the guineas for eggs but that would be a bonus.

I have seen our guineas run off the deer a few times but the deer aren’t very scared of them so they come back. Mostly the guineas don’t pay a lot of attention to our deer or wild turkeys. Also, our deer mostly come around dusk to dawn so they don’t interact with the guineas very often.
