Anyone? My three gunieas are in with the chickens..they were raised with two of the chickens... that group all hang together. But the guineas will run after and attack the rest of the chickens... you'll be carrying on with chores and here this screech and turn in time to see a hen run off and a guinea standing ther with a mouth full of feathers... then it darts off. One hen is being maimed alot though... just wondering if guineas get mean to the point of death. Thnks

They sure will.

I have repeated this so many times there should be a place to store statements that get repeated again and again. Guineas are a major flock bird. That means their numbers should be a minimum of ten to get them to not focus on chickens. They are not chickens, they have a completely different flock dynamic.

Even though I keep more than 20 Guineas at any time I do not house my Guineas with my chickens. They are more combative, extremely strong and fast because of that it does not take much for a chicken to suffer an injury even if it was not the target.

I had guineas raised by chickens and the guineas eventually did chase the chickens but they have calmed down for now. I am afraid they will kill this one hen they singled out before. They are ok for now but I still worry about them. I have had no experience with guineas before this, so I was wondering if maybe they would live more happily with my turkey hen?
