Will hen abandon eggs if chicks added?

Hi, newbie here. I have a chicken sitting on a fertile egg that is due to hatch tomorrow or the next day. She's also sitting on 4 infertile eggs. I've just bought 4 chicks today to replace the infertile eggs.

My question is will my hen abandon her fertile egg right after I add more chicks? Is it safe to add them now or should I wait til her egg has hatched?

I would do it when the eggs start to hatch. Some broody hens sit for a couple of days after and some dont wait as long. I wouldnt risk the eggs being abandoned, especially if you dont own an incubator. Make sure to stick the chicks under at night.
