I learned a trick, where if you watch the feathers before its tail, and see if they grow pointed Then its a roo. If they grow with round full tips, then its a hen. I'm not sure if its always worked, but so far its been very accurate for me.

I have also read that if it has tail feathers it is a roo... is that true???? I am still learning... Thanks!!
