So, lime is getting spread on the field my chickens free-range in and I was wondering if the dust is going to bother them? They are still in the coop and it’s next to the field. A lot of lime dust is being kicked up as the truck deposits it while making its rounds in the field and I’m worried it’s going to bother them. The windows on the coop is shut ( it’s starting to get colder at night ), but I’m worried quite a bit of dust will still be able to get in. Will it bother them?

they still have plenty of ventilation with the windows shut, that’s not what i was worried about
Just checking.
Did any of the lime make it into the coop to coat things in a white haze?

Not Really unless there is no ventilation. We have a coop/tractor so we don't have that problem because it is mainly built out of hardware cloth so the falcon we live by doesn't get them.
