Will Mallards become more friendly?

I don't know about Mallards spcifically, but my Khaki campbells never panic when I'm around. I don't force myself on them I'm just quiet and near them while they are just doing their thing. I don't really care if they don't like me to pet them or pick them up, I just want them to be comfortable enough with me not to run and panic when I come around...I have three young chicks I did the same thing with and these days they let me pet them if I am quiet and crouched. If you have enough time and snacks (which I don't) they may become tame enough to be lap ducks.
My ducks and chicks call me when they are hungry, scared, or need water. They also run to me when they see me come out the door...That is as much trust and like that I need from them.

I also got 4 Mallards from TSC mine still run from me but for the past few days we have been putting them in the bed of one of our extra trucks in the garage while we clean there brooder and they seem to be more interested in us. I will sit on the side of the truck with my feet in the bed and they will wander up to me a few of them (or maybe just one multiple times) took pieces of a grape out of my hand.... i guess its progress.

One of the Ducklings is hurt and that one is fine with me handling "IT"(but the leg is getting better)
