Last night i spotted a fox in my garden trying to find a way through my fencing to my hens. My dogs don't take kindly to strangers in their garden so i decided to let them out, sure enough they immediately took after it. They didn't catch it which i'm glad about but it was very close so ive got a feeling he wont be coming back.
Even if he did manage to find a way through the fencing at that time of the night he wouldn't be finding a way into the coop, its during the day that worries me.

Do you think a fox would return after nearly getting attacked by two dogs??
Next time i'm sure the fox wont be so lucky.

If your dogs are not on guard 24/7 , Mr fox will return.

I have tons of trail cam photos showing a fox and then the dogs run it off within an hour the fox will be back to have it's photo taken again.

Same goes for coons, possiums and the big bad wolf.

However where some of my dogs stay all the time they never enter those areas.

Any fox is welcome in my garden as long as they don't mind being a dogs dinner.
So far last night he didn't come back but we'll be ready for whenever he does. I'm pretty sure he can't dig under the fencing because the wire is sunken into the ground, just not sure how high a fox will jump when hungry.
