Hello! I have 3 pullets, 1 Silver Laced Wyandotte, 1 RIR and 1 Salmon Faverolle and today is their first day in their new coop. I am so excited! But I was wondering if they will be warm enough tonight? They just turned 6 weeks and it gets about 58-60 degrees at night. During the day I'm not worried because it's in the 80's. They have a nice nesting box area to sleep w/ wood shavings and it's all sealed up nice... Do you think they'll be ok? Maybe I'm just being a nervous new mom:) Or should I bring them back in the house at night for a while? Thank you!!!

They will be fine. I had mine out after 4 weeks. Now they are on week 12.

You may have a bit of a time getting them to go inside the coop at bed-time, but if they huddle up outside for the night, just scoop them up and into the coop and shut the door. You shouldn't have to do that more than a few nights before they get the hint.

Thank you:) I think I will leave them out, they seem much happier in the coop than in their box in the house that they were getting way to big for!
