Will my hens leave?

My dad said my hens will leave in search of rooster if i eat him. I'm planning on eating him and giving the hens away to someone who lives in the city. Is it true that they will go in search of a rooster if i remove this one?

This is not true. They will probably seem upset (pecking order stuff, etc.) for awhile, but no, they will not run away.

In my experience, the removal of a rooster results in an instantaneous sigh of relief from the hens. Not joking, they seem 100% more relaxed as soon as he’s gone, not likely to go seek out another.

My flock, if it was a good rooster, seems saddened if their "man" is taken. Lol . Depends on the birds I guess

If they can't hear a rooster, then they won't go to a rooster. Simple as that. This is why roosters crow.
