Will my squabs ever be normal sized? Feeding issues!

My pair had another clutch hatch about a week ago, and from day 3 to day 6 I barely fed them because I was busy with a major test. Now the squabs are still the size they were on the third or fourth day. Will they ever make up for it? or will they be smaller than they should be forever? Also, the older one in the clutch has black skin, a black beak, and lots of yellow fuzz, much more then his sibling has. Is this hinting at the color it will be?

Are you or the parents feeding them?

Mine all grow yellow fuzz, then the feathers start coming in and you can tell the color. Before they have fuzz you can tell the color determining where darker skin is.

Yes, they're still feeding them, and I'm giving them enough food again. I wasn't really paying attention to them nearly as much as I normally do because of the test. Now they're about two weeks old and already have more shine on their necks then their two month old sibling. But they're still about half the size the past clutches have been.

By the way, does anyone know of a good page for a beginner to learn how to tell the official colors of birds? I want to know what colors mine are, but I can't find any pages that have enough detail. Thank for the help! :)
