I've had a few hens in quarantine for a little while:

1 Buff Silkie, 1 Blue Silkie (Silkies from same flock) and a Splash Standard Cochin from a different flock, which I'm thinking about buying another White Cochin.

Anyway, I had a previous customer give me unfortunate news that one of their silkies had died asking if they could buy a new one (specifically for his daughter for Christmas), so I said yes because I knew that they are really nice people who love their chickens.

This means I'll have to separate the grey silkie from the buff one, they are still both pullets, could the buff one still make friends without her buddy there? (I can't get another silkie from the silkie flock, all gone)

The buff one is pretty friendly with the Splash Cochin so I was thinking maybe they could be integrated into the flock as a pair after a couple more week?

Random pic of my flock...just so its not boring to read.

Thoughts?

Usually once they lose their friend (to deaths and give-aways), they will be sad for a day or two then fit right back in. in my experience at least, hope this helps.
