I've got a trio of spring (20 April) hatched 'scovies. They'll be five months (20 weeks) at the end of August. I'm in North Carolina.

I'm guessing the females won't start laying until spring. Am I right?

(bump)

I know that I'll eventually find out, just like when I was trying to figure out if the ducklings were male or female, but any thoughts would be appreciated!

Mine usually start to lay around 7 months. Mine won't lay for a few months when it's really cold but other than that they continue to lay... almost like how a chicken stops laying when it molts i guess. The never seemed to have a real "season" to me anyway, they just don't lay when it's really cold.
