Will This Butterfly/Moth make it?!

Hmm. It appears to be a moth cocoon. I would put it in a ventilated container with leaves at the bottom, (kinda bury it) I don't know how to tell if its alive, but if it doesn't emerge within a month it probably never will. Good luck!

That's so cool! How did you ever find it? Shouldn't it be hanging on some sort of plant? Maybe keep it in a net of some sort? I know people can hatch butterflies at home.

I think that kind isn't attached, they just are under leaves and dirt and stuff.
