Will this fencing work for Midget Whites?

My plan is to build an A-frame style shelter and enclose my 10 - 12 midget whites in a fenced run. I don't have my birds yet, but I'm wondering if this premier fencing system will work for Midget Whites. I plan to reduce the flock by half in November.

Would it make sense to invest in this now, or take that money to build a permanent run now? My concern is if the run gets really dirty/muddy, it would be nice to be able to move it.

Hi - I am using the same system for my Beltsvilles... I will mention though ... My hens fly all through the pasture - yard - they fly onto a portion of our house roof that has a view of our bathroom.

This year I am wing clipping. As I have one hen that is quite the voyeur

i just bought this for my goats. but i bought the 42". I did an experiment with the chickens and one Bourbon Red turkey, i shut them in the fence all afternoon, none escaped.

I think i am going to order the 48" for them.

so far its working great for keeping the goats in and next doors dog out. Its VERY easy to install. And easy to change around.

from what I have read, turkeys are much less likely to try to go over a fence that does not have a top rail, or look "perchworthy" to them. That looks to me like it would hold them. When they are young though... they fly and they like to go up on top of things, like your car, the garage, bushes and small trees, large trees if they could I bet.

I got the fencing too, and someone on here told me to clip their wings 2 or 3 times over the next 2 months and that they just don't 'think' they can fly out later, even if you stop clipping their wings. It trains them. I haven't tried it yet myself.
