Yesterday I spent my time at 3 home-depots. I bought this:




will it work? i hope so.

Sure it will work. The question is how accurate is it. Somewhere in the instructions on how to use it there should be something about it's accuracy, like +/-0.5 degrees or +/-2 degrees or something.

try testing it. Put it in the refridgerator with another thermometer that is known to be accurate and see how far off it is. Then you can have your calibration.
