I have a pair of turkeys (I think Black Spanish). I have had them for about 3-4 months and they were "tweens" when I got them (not chicks, but not grown either) They live with my chickens and usually free range during the day and are penned at night. Yesterday I caught a wild turkey venturing towards my male turkey. We have a pretty good wild turkey population in our area. We ran the wild hen of because we were afraid she would lure our jake away. Has anyone else had wild turkeys lure their tame ones away? My birds love to free range, but I feel a responsibility to protect them as my pair act more like goofy, gangly puppy dogs and wouldn't fair well in the wild. Any info, advice or opinions appreciated.
