SOOO tired of the wind. Why has it been so bad this year?

I feel your pain!

The wind picked up our broody coop and threw it through the greenhouse, completely twisted the frame and smashed the glass pannels

Called the insurance company that we have been with for 20 years and they turned down our claim because it is not a permenant structure.

However on the plus side the little cochin who was in the coop when it took flight, is no longer broody! she was called cheryl when we got her and I never thought it suited her, so we renamed her dorothy since she survived the twister

So sorry to hear that. It's just horrible out, I'm actually afraid to look ourside for fear of what I might see. This just stinks!!

Hugs to little Dorothy

Hmm maybe my little silkie Beebers will be scared out of broodydom too...

I am in a sheltered valley and we are still getting pummeled. I had to fix a broken gate latch already today. The covering on the duck pen looks like it wants to take off

We've have 3 really old and really big Cottonwood trees in the front yard. I'm just waiting for one to come crashing down in this wind. It's a little unsetteling to watch them sway back and forth.....

I'm just praying we don't get any wind snow storms, our snow fence blew down about a month ago and broke the posts so no way of fixing it without buying new posts and they were new!!!
$300 down the drain!

Q: Why is it always so windy in Colorado Springs?
A: Because Denver blows and Pueblo sucks
