Window Coverings?

Hi everyone,

It's starting to get cold here, and it's time to close up the windows of my coop. Currently they are just chicken wire windows. Should I cover them in plastic? Is that enough? What would you recommend?

We've been graced with 45-50 degree days for now. The chickens are fine with the windows open in this weather! But it isn't going to hold out much longer!

Thanks for the advice,
Lea

Depends on where you live. You're suggesting winter conditions, so it becomes important to have a way to close up and still have an exit for moisture without getting snow and rain into the coop...some suggestions on winter in my link below. I'm in 5a plant zone at 45 deg N.
