I am biting the bullet and fencing in a portion of our property.
Cannot afford sad, crowded, cooped birds and cannot afford a loss a day to fox. Fenced range we shall.

Yes, I know a fox can climb over. My hope is to at least take the easy out of the Meals To Go to deter them. There's plenty of wildlife. My birds are preyed on because they're just too quick and easy to not eat!
I will one day run a hot strand on top to boot.

But...what about birds flying up and out?
Looking at 4ft tall fencing.
That to me says I need to clip a wing per bird.

Would you think so?
How does one clip?

My rooster lives with my sheep part time and he has one wing clipped to keep him in. It's way easier than it seems. I just used kitchen shears and cut the first ten ish feathers on one wing. I will get some pictures when I can. Leave a few inches of feather so they don't bleed.
