recently someone posted a site about a hatchery and the video on youtube showed them sexing newborn chicks by wing feathers. Males having a straight row of feathers, females having an uneven row. Is this true and does it work?

Anyone use this method of sexing? Anyone use this to cull newborn roos? Does it only work for some breeds?

Thanks

It's only true if they're bred for it specifically. The hatcheries that sell meat chickens usually breed for that trait, but the rest of them generally don't.
