Wings on legs?

He? is almost 8 weeks now. Here is an updated picture. There are the prettiest iridescent green/blue feathers most visible when it is sunny. Not sure what mix he is but very pretty! There is a white feather on each of his feet hidden amongst the black feathers. I love the accents.
He now looks like a bantam cochin.

In my opinion those feathers are much more like you would see on a booted bantam, cochin feathers look softer. No telling where the feathering came from. I'm no geneticist, I suppose cochin mixed with something else like a Mille Fleur d'Uccle or such could lead to these stiffer feathers. "True" Booted Bantams are on The Livestock Conservancy's critically endangered list.

It has yellow legs. Booted bantam have slate legs. Bantam Cochin males often feather out slower. It will get a bit more fluffy as it matures, but is probably hatchery stocks, so it won't be as fluffy as show bred.
