Other than the usual scratch, cracked corn, etc. Is there anything you can feed poultry to help them during the winter months? To help generate body heat. i have heard of people feeding black sunflower seeds. thank you in advance for your replies.

Yes warm oatmeal or rice

NOt to generate warmth, but to give them some fun entertainment, you can tie a cabbage and hang it. They will peck at it. It'll take them a while to get used to it, but they will love it.

I put cabbage, carrots, apples and celery on a string and tie it in the coop from the roosts, and I also do that out in there run,its nice in the winter time if they are confined its give them something to do.
