winter garden in a greenhouse anyone try it?

People do winter greenhouse/ chickens thing in New England, so it should work in PA. I am also interested in tilapia, and in fact I considered doing tilapia instead of chickens -- however it seems more complicated.
Tilapia don't really grow unless the water temp is around 85 F so you would need a solar HW system to bring the water up to temp in the shoulder seasons. I would think of the tilapia as similar to "meat birds". Raise them up (May-Sept?), have a fish slaughter day, stick them in the freezer.
If you try this would love to hear how it goes. You probably want to put the water tank in the middle of the greenhouse to take advantage of the solar mass? There is a place near me that raises tilapia, but I haven't made it over there yet to see how it works.
