G-day Folks! Great site thanks for all the information, its been a great help for being a first time chicken Stewart. We just celebrated our first Egg last week! I never thought I could get so exited about a hen laying and egg! :) We are prepping for a cold Ontario winter and have a lighting question. I am substituting sunlight with a light bulb to achieve 14hrs of light to keep up egg production. I would like to turn on a red heat lamp through the coldest part of the night. Will this add to the chickens total light giving them way over 14hrs?
Thanks!

That's what I'm hoping. Coop is fully insulated with ventilation and just what to keep them comfortable on those frosty nights!
