"Winter" squash

Just a thought for those who like feeding fun stuff to your chickens. Last year I grew Butternut, spaghetti and acorn squash as well as the regular crookneck and zucchini and the chickens love it all. I just tossed in the first three without breaking or cutting and they had a blast pecking at the outside until the inside was revealed at which time they proceeded to hollow them out. It's certainly worth growing a plant or two or even buying the occasional gourd from the grocery.

I have two winter squash vines with a TON of blooms, way more than I expected, so the chickens will be in for a treat!
