The last few years I have used the farm innovators heated waterer and I’m tired of using that due to the base not locking into place very well. I decided to buy a Harris farms heated base (it says you can use it with their plastic waterers btw). I am wondering if this is an okay setup for those who have used these heated bases. I’m worried about shavings getting kicked up on top of the base and starting on fire. Could that happen with these bases? I have it up on a single 2 inch paver. I had 2 pavers like my feeder is shown but I removed one from the waterer because It sat way too high up.
