This is my first year with serama and temps are already dipping down into the 40s here. They are less than a year old. I have read conflicting information but regardless I’ve been looking into the sweeter heaters for their coop. Does anyone have experience with them? And what else can I do to get my little serama ready for winter?

Where do you live? Or, what are the lowest temps you'll have in the winter?

We raise silkies, and a nearby friend raises seramas, and both of us keep our coops to about 40F as it can get as low -30F here for a couple of weeks, not including wind chill. The most important thing is that the coop is vented, yet don't get drafts on them.

I’m in Kentucky. It can gets down to around -20 here. Last year, it got down pretty cold a few days. The coop is great as far as wind chill goes. I just need to decide on heaters.
