Wish I would have had my camera!

I went in to the coop last night for a final check after taking 91 year old mother-in-law out for a birthday dinner.

I have 11 week olds and 8 week olds who have been integrating for the last week or so. They were ALL on the top roost last night! Previously the littles would stay on the floor after the bigs roosted and explore the parts of the coop that the bigs would chase them away from.

It was just too cute to see big, little, big, bit, little, little, little.....

How cute! Yes, it always seems those prime moments you want to capture on film escape you most times!! Wish mine would roost...my 4 BA ladies, now 16 weeks, have slept on the floor of their coop since day one. They are stubborn little chickens...aaack!!
