Don't know if this is the right forum, but here goes. I have wisteria growing around the front of my home. It needs to be moved. Does anyone know if wisteria is poisonous to chickens as I would like it to be a shade cover for the coop & run next year.

We have several around the house and yard where the chooks and turks free range. They ignore them (as well as the seeds). I would not place one close or in the run (would eventually get pecked at/eaten).

Here's a link with some info on the toxin Wisterine (aggregation of vertebrate blood cells). We like it because the deer won't eat it.
