Within 20 miles of Sacramento, Calif

I would dearly like to visit other BYCers to get ideas about flock management, run construction ideas, or any other tips or tricks to backyard chicken keeping.

Now that I've been at it for a few months, have laying hens, bought my second batch o' chicks (and two ducklings), plus built two coops, I want to see The Real Deal(s), not just peruse photos and/or description on the forum.

I totally understand about bio-security, so folks who don't want chicken-keepin' outsiders on their property will not offend me by saying so.

But if there's anybody who wants to brag on his/her chickens or ducks and wouldn't mind a like-minded visitor some time in the next few months, I'd sure like to hear from y'all.

Of course, if any ADMINISTRATOR or MODERATOR wants to extend an invitation, regardless of distance from Sacramento, I could make a weekend trip of it at the drop of a feather!!!!

Silverstar- I have seen alot people on here (and nearby cities) that are from around here. If you go to new member intro's and give a shout out post to Auburn, you might be surprised! I was!

I posted some 3 month old hens 4 sale on CL, and I was suprised to get sooo many local answers! One lady who took 2 home lived right down the street from me! Naturally, I told her she really needed to visit BYC, it turned out she is a member, just doesnt visit alot.

Of course, with 5 kids, a horse, 2 bunnies, 5 cats, a lizardy thing, and alotta chickens, I just have tooo much idle time on my hands, and thus MUST spend it on BYC!! LOL!!!
