This morning when I went out to open pop doors and check food and water for all the girls, I was greeted with a prolapse in one of my favorite hens. She is a blue cochin who had not yet started laying. I seperated her from the rest of the flock and came back inside to do some research. After perusing a couple of threads about treating a prolapse, I brought her into the house for further inspection. There was an still partially in the canal. I used warm water to clean the area and gently work the egg out. After that I applied some honey as suggested. I have a meeting at work that I can't miss this morning so I seperated her from the flock and gave her water and food for the day. Hopefully there will be some improvement when I get home.
