How far before sunset do your chickens go to their coop for the night?

Mine go in when it starts getting dark.

the sun set about a half hour ago and mine were still havin a party.. we had to go and get them from their fave outside roosting spots and tuck them in

mine used to go in on their own but this year we have to round them up

Mine go in when it gets dark. We just started letting them free roam the yard and they have been back inside the coop before it is completely dark.

I'm with the "when it starts getting dark" group. They begin heading in around 8:00 PM here at this time of year.
