1) What type of bird , age and weight (does the chicken seem or feel lighter or thinner than the others.) cochin standard 3 weeks she is a runt don't have weight
2) What is the behavior, exactly. she is not moving around anymore try to stands up but needs to use wing to stay up. so she quickly drops back down, still eats and drinks but won't go far to get them
3) How long has the bird been exhibiting symptoms? couple days
4) Are other birds exhibiting the same symptoms? no
5) Is there any bleeding, injury, broken bones or other sign of trauma. no but i think its leg got injured but no physical signs other then won't put weight on it
6) What happened, if anything that you know of, that may have caused the situation. she's a runt in a brooder with 3 other cochins and 3 austalorps whom are a few weeks older, they like to play and the runt might of gotten landed on or otherwise injured from the other chicks rough housing.
7) What has the bird been eating and drinking, if at all. drinks water if near by and eats chick starter feed when near by. i have also been feeding her some scrambled egg yolk once a day. in hopes the protein will help her heal
8) How does the poop look? Normal? Bloody? Runny? etc. completely normal
9) What has been the treatment you have administered so far? I've seperated her and moved her into the house so the rough housing brothers and sisters don't hurt her again. and so she doesn't have to walk far for food and water.
10 ) What is your intent as far as treatment? For example, do you want to treat completely yourself, or do you need help in stabilizing the bird til you can get to a vet? i intend to see what i can do to help speed up her healing.
11) If you have a picture of the wound or condition, please post it. It may help. i don't think its needed but ill capture one if needed
12) Describe the housing/bedding in use, pine shavings big brooder box, now separated in a cardboard box with pine shavings

anything i can do other then just make sure she's eating and drinking? is there some sort of device i can throw together at home to help her out? should i be adding anything into the water? is there anything else i should be feeding her?

she moved around just fine before this. and I've looked at the leg it all looks fine and you can even touch it without pain screams. but when she puts weight on it she doesn't like it at all. stretches out her wing and after a min just sits back down, she will move to food and water in a short burst but its a bit frantic and you can see it causes her pain. after the burst shell just sit there and not move again.

I would be concerned that she might have a leg bone deformity or slipped tendon. A picture of her standing still would help to see if she holds the leg turned out or behind her. Leg bone deformities are fairly common in poultry, and most are permanent. I would use some chick vitamins or a small amount of ground up B complex tablet on her feed daily. Many chicks with leg or foot problems may respond to vitamins.

This is varus or valgus deformity which can affect only one leg or both. Twisted tibia is another common deformity.

ill grab a picture later when she's up to trying to stand. but i can tell you from what I've seen she doesn't hold out her legs in any way thats different. both feet side by side, straight push up, works herself up then extends her wing, her legs look to not be extended out in any way. i had her on my lap and on a solid table in front of me for a while to try and observe. ill pull her back on the table in a bit to try and snap shot her standing as i am very well aware that i have an untrained eye. maybe she is standing funky and I'm just not seeing it. ill be sure to take your recommendations on the vitamins i do have some save a chick and such around. ill throw together some in an alternative water source so she has both.

update i think i found the culprit.

so there i was checking again on those feathered legs. hand fed her a bit and gave her some water and then set her on a hard non slippery surface, looking at the legs yup seemed straight watch her stand and walk. picked her up and decided to take a very close look because of the feathered legs its hard to be sure of things. but in the process i noticed what seemed to be a very very small pine shaving blending in with her feathers and what do you know yup she had a pine shaving stuck on her foot with a little poo. i proceeded on giving her a bath and get anything stuck in there out. that stuck piece of pine shavings was pulling on her foot feathers and causing her pain. after i dried her off and set her down she in a hurry got up and started running around on the table. she seems back to her active self with no pain.

ty byc for your quick responces
