WOO HOO First Egg!

Got our first Coturnix egg yesterday afternoon! YAY! Little boogers are a little over 7 weeks old. Not sure which hen laid it though since she did it between lunchtime and when I got home from work. It's in the fridge now looking lonely- waiting for some buddies so I can do pickled eggs! Kristi

LOL! The joke would be on him if his coturnix DIDN'T start laying around now.

They mature at 6-8 weeks and start laying then.

Thanks! I'm hoping that if my quail lay enough eggs it will help ease my "I want chickens" syndrome I've been going through! And I'm sure my DH would like that too! He

everytime I mention chicken!
