Wood ash

I get a lot of ash from my fireplace and I know it’s good added to dust baths. I use the deep bedding method and was wondering if I could sprinkle some on the pine chips in the coop? Would it be beneficial?

I don't see why not!
I add ash to my run when I have it. Usually I work up some loose dirt and mix the ash in.
My birds also eat the charcoal, so you will likely see some black poop if your do the same.
