I’ve been looking over some threads regarding the conversion of sheds to coops. But I haven’t seen a focused discussion of the pro’s and con’s between wood, resin sheds. I’m looking to build another coop and think a larger shed build would be a good idea so that it could be divided between coop and storage for chicken feed ,etc. But, I’ve started to consider just buying a shed, rather than building, and converting……..which leads to the resin versus wood question. Any thoughts on either one? I guess I’m really looking for opinions on the resin sheds. TIA

Resin sheds are a lot lighter which is a con with everything after the installation process especially when it comes to things like wind storms. because they are hollow they get damaged a lot easier and are much less sturdy in comparison. they are also much harder to install ventilation and modify. I would go with a normal wood over resin personally

Wood.
All the way.
Wood.

The only benefit of resin over wood is mite control.
Everything else about wood trumps that: strength, ease of modification/additions, longevity & appearance.
