Woohoo new buff hens laying!

I got a pair of buff hens for my lonely BR boy Jake, w hen his were killed by the fox. Not only are the ladies laying, they're now laying fertile eggs. Two just showed spider veining

Jake's happy and so am I

Go Jake. And wow, these girls from DawnSuiter are so so tame I feel guilty if I don't go out and hold them a couple of times a day. LOL.

well... I don't know when I'll be able to take some eggs... I've got both incubators full, 4 clutches going including a couple eggs under a broody hen!

but so good to hear how well the ladies are doing.

I'm keeping the girls penned til I do catch him. Besides the girls - now Buffy(vampire slayer) and Rachel have gone broody and are taking turns on eggs, so LOL you probably soon can't have eggs but you could have poults.. Chuckle.
