we have 4 red star hens. 2 are pretty old and they have stopped laying for some reason.
So now we have be getting 1 egg a day from our young Red Star hen, Cinnamon, who was an early bloomer because she started laying at a little younger than 4 months and she was the one with the largest comb. Her eggs are still pretty small, but boy are they tasty! And every single one we crack open is fertile, since the germinal spot is so big and circle.(not just a spot)
Anyway, I collected Cinnamons little tan egg as I usually do in the early morning. There were no other eggs. Then, one of my siblings found another similar sized egg in the afternoon, and I thought, "Maybe Cinnamon laid two eggs today?" But then I remembered that Linda, Cinnamon's sister, wasn't laying yet, and I had noticed her in the nesting boxes lately. So she must have laid it!!!!!! WOOO HOOO!!!!!!! I was so happy that she is finally laying!
