I love words. One of my favorite threads here is the Non Sequitur Haikus. So I thought I'd start another thread for anyone to post anything they've written, following all the posting guidelines, of course. Jokes, riddles, poems, flash fiction...

I thought I'd start with a lipogram, an odd thing you may never had heard of, but it's just writing that excludes a particular letter, or letters. We all know the poem, "Mary Had a Little Lamb"... what if you rewrote it, but couldn't use the letter A?

Susie owned one little sheep,
Its fleece looked just like snow.
But everywhere young Susie went,
Her sheep did surely go.

It followed her to school one morn,
Which broke the "no sheep" rule!
The children, they did point with scorn
To see her sheep in school.

Ok, I had to try it without the letter E.

Mary had a tiny lamb,
Its coat was plain as snow.
And all spots that Mary found,
Said lamb did also go.

It ran along to school that day,
Which many saw as crass.
But kids found ways to laugh and play
With Mary’s lamb in class.
